Voting for the 2009 CLA Election has begun! To vote online, visit http://rsmart.ca/VoteCLA. To vote, you will need to enter your CLA Member ID and password, which has been sent to your email address.

If the CLA office does not have your email address, you have been mailed a paper ballot in the mail. If you prefer to vote by mail, send your request to the CLA office at info@cla-net.org or call us at 916-779-4573. The election ends on October 25, 2009.

NOTE: You must have a current "Voting" membership with CLA in order to vote in the election. Per CLA Bylaws, Supporting members are not allowed to vote in CLA elections.


2009 Special Election Results

July 16th, 2009

Kim Bui-Burton

By receiving 53% majority of votes, CLA is proud to announce Kim-Bui Burton as the next Vice-President/President-Elect. Voter turnout in this election was 14%, fulfilling the bylaws requirement of at least 10% member participation.

Ms. Bui-Burton, currently Director of the Monterey Public Library, will assume her role immediately. Her initial duties include selecting CLA Committee Volunteers as well as deciding upon the official theme for the 2010 Conference in Sacramento. Furthermore, Ms. Bui-Burton will be assuming the role of President following the 2009 CLA Conference in Pasadena. Many thanks to the Nominating Committee and to both of our candidates.
